A picture of the Caves and the hot air balloons.

It was my dream to visit the amazing city of Cappadocia. So on my visit to Turkey, me and my family decided to book a 1 hour 20 min flight to Cappadocia. After the short flight, we landed on the runway. All I could see was small hills covered with clouds. On the right side, I saw a small building which didn't look like an airport. As I entered the building I found it that it was an airport. The airport actually seemed really small.

Picture of cave hotels in Cappadocia.

After one hour we arrived at the hotel. The hotel looked very different from what I expected. When I entered my room I immediately went into the old days when caves were used as houses. After doing some research and talking to the owner of the hotel I found that the hotel I was staying in used to be a cave and they turned it into a cave hotel. The Cappadocia caves were formed 60 million years ago. They were formed by erosions of lava and ash.

After the talk with the owner of the hotel. I decided to go out and discover the local food. I found out that the Turkish people love to eat meats, kebabs, meatballs and etc. I also found that local people also like to drink a lot of Turkish tea. Besides its unusual taste the Turkish tea also has many benefits on the health. Turkish tea decreases the chance of heart attacks. I do recommend you to try the Turkish tea if you go there.

As we reached near the city we decided to take a guide. I would also recommend you to take a guide with you because the guide knows will about history, the important things and as well as the way.  So if you do not want to get lost and spend your life in an underground city, I do recommend you to take a guide. As I was walking through the beautiful structure, I was amazed and could not believe that they were built in the 8 century. I did pay to try to pay attention to the guide and learned some facts about the place. The underground city has almost 600 doors. Well, one question that I had in my mind was that why did the people not suffocate. So the guide then introduced me to small holes by the walls and told me that these holes provide fresh air and also can be used for communication. After a walk in the underground city, I became really tired and decided to eat something.

After having some snacks we decided to go to the pegion valley. As I expected the pegion valley did not look like a pigeon but instead there were a lot of pigeons. Due to the beautiful view, I decided to snap some selfies and photos. So I could show off on my Instagram. After enjoying the great view we decided to go to Goreme open air museum. As we arrived we had to stand in a large line and wait for our turn to come. After entering the museum I saw some great structures. I could hardly see those little caves in the huge A-shaped rocks. But then when I entered the cave, I could feel the past. I could feel how people lived at that time. Each and every cave had a new story, apart from the bad smell that was in every cave. So now we became really after exploring the caves and taking thousands of pictures. We decided to have some ice cream. As it was becoming dark everywhere, so we decided to go back to our hotel.

After having some nice breakfast. I started becoming really excited because today was our last day and today we were going on a ride of a hot air balloon. This was going to be my first experience in hot air balloon, so I was really excited. after some long journey, we reached a huge plain with small grass. I could see a huge number of ballons resting in the ground. So after waiting for some minutes our balloon driver told us that we were ready to fly. So I went towards the balloon and threw my stuff on a corner. Then the balloon started to rise. It was a bit bumpy. but then it became all smooth. We were flying through the sky and enjoying sunrise.  This was one of the best experiences of my life. I relaxed and enjoyed the beauty.

But all good things come to an end. Now it was the time to take a flight and fly back to Vienna. I packed all my stuff and took a taxi to the airport. I really enjoyed the trip. Other than visiting the places. I really enjoyed spending time with my family and meeting the locals. Lastly, I do recommend you to visit Cappadocia and enjoy time with your family.
